“Households where there are confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 should put their waste into a plastic bag which is tied when full. This plastic bag should then be put into a second bag and tied.
Any waste from these households needs to be stored for 72 hours before putting it in the bin for collection.
This is to minimise the risk of any waste that may pose an infection risk coming into contact with the collection operatives or being exposed to the atmosphere during the collections process.”
